At Café Bern, Anneke Hietbrink is exhibiting paintings that can be best described as natural shapes, full of expression, in images of familiar fantasy. The clarity and limitless space and opportunities materialize on the canvas. Inspiration, energy and mainly cheerful colours create a vivid landscape, incessantly longing to be discovered.

Paint your colourful you!
-initially working with oil pastel on paper- since she was 20 years old. People and animals were her subjects, in colours that appealed to her taste. Later on she changed to gouache and has been painting for several years, her approach becoming increasingly intuitive: in colours and movement she expressed her inner feelings, inspired by natural shapes.
Since about a year ago, she has made a switch to acrylic on canvas. Anneke takes her pleasure and focus from the imagination and the choice of colours, that serve as a great source of energy.
Her life with colour, paint, with (increasingly larger) canvasses and imagination continues to be a source of opportunities, energy and joy.
Anneke aims to offer people a soft force, light-heartedness and an impulse to follow their instincts and vitalize their life.
